Edward Gate and the Retrieval is a young adult fantasy book that has a fast-paced story. It's adventurous and humorous and it also incorporates a nice theme of hope.

Edward Gate gets hit by an asteroid when he was only 5 years old. 7 years later, he wakes up from a 7-year coma. He finds out that his father has died from the same meteor that put him into this coma. He goes to Brickston High and he meets a bully named Jonathan. They go back and forth until one misunderstanding permanently suspended Edward Gate from Brickston High.

He was now lost, but a mysterious figure has been telling him to go on a journey. He cannot wait any longer as the fate of the world was in his hands. He gets 2 of his friends to go on this journey with him and now 3 kids can decide whether the world stays the same, or dissolves into pure chaos and catastrophe.

They had to go to another dimension and find the three keys that unlocked the cage of Death. But another party was going for them as well and they wanted to get the keys to unlock the cage of Death. As long as Edward could keep the other party from getting the keys, the world would breathe a huge sigh of relief.
